We should never assume we are completely safe from temptation and evil influences. The moment we begin to feel that Satan is no longer targeting us is precisely when we should be concerned. We must examine our spiritual armor every day and ensure we consistently equip ourselves with each piece. Each element of our protective gear plays a crucial role in our defense against negativity and sin.
Remember, it only takes the smallest crack in our armor for Satan to slip in and disrupt our peace. Staying alert and proactive in our spiritual journey is important to maintaining our faith and resilience.
I don’t care whether you have been saved for one day or have been walking with the Lord for eighty years. We can all fall, and we can fall hard. We have not arrived at the point where we think the enemy will not come against us.
The Bible says, Therefore let anyone who thinks he stands take heed, lest he fall. 1 Corinthians10:12 (ESV)
The moment you let your guard down is the moment the devil will attack. He looks for the small dent in our armor and chips at it until he has a crack small enough to enter. I am not talking about a huge opening; I am talking about a pinhole. That’s all he needs.
Every day, we must put on the full armor of God. We cannot afford to leave even one piece behind and think, “Today I’ll skip my breastplate; it’s heavy, and I feel protected.” That’s exactly what the enemy hopes for. Each piece of our armor serves a specific purpose and is essential to our protection.
Paul said in Ephesians 6:11, “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take a stand against the devil’s schemes. (NIV)
Draw close to God every day. Keep praying, because prayer keeps your armor secure and your faith alive. Prayer will keep you strong for the battle. Nothing but God can move you. Not an if, but a when; He does. There will be times of testing, but remember He has not left us defenseless. He gave us the armor!
