Finding Strength in Prayer During Difficult Times

Cracked dark red fruit surrounded by water droplets on wood
A dark, cracked fruit rests on a rain-slick wooden surface, creating a moody still life.

Many times, when we walk through the valley, we stop praying not because we have stopped believing, but because we are tired.

Tired of praying because things didn’t change. Tired of asking for doors to be open, but they didn’t open. Tired of feeling like heaven was silent when your heart was breaking.

But what if I told you the silence wasn’t God’s absence? What if I told you your prayers weren’t ignored, but stored for the right time? What if I told you the moment you almost gave up was the moment everything began to shift in the heavens?

Because in the spirit realm, our words are never wasted. Nor the tears you have cried. Not the whispers only God heard when you said you didn’t know what else to say.

The Lord heard and saw it all. He remembers.

The enemy tried to stop your prayers. He knew the weight of God’s answers. He wanted to distract you because he knows your voice carries power. He tried to convince you to be silent because you were a threat to him and his kingdom.

But now it’s time to stand back up. Time to pray again. To believe again. To open your mouth and give your voice the power to move mountains.

So pray again. Pray when you are weary. Pray even when you are unsure. Pray, even when your heart aches; pray.

Your broken whispers and tears carry more weight than you realize. Every time you pray, hell loses ground. Every time you pray, the valley grows brighter and fills with hope.

PRAY AGAIN!

    1. Yes, we do, and it’s easy to let the enemy overpower us and cause harm. He would like to deceive us into believing that God does not hear our prayers and has abandoned us in our time of need. Satan is extremely skilled at temptation and deception. We must remember to firmly command him to get behind us, in the name of Jesus! Have a blessed day!

  2. Great encouragement my friend. For me I learned to surrender and rest not stress letting our compassionate Lord bear me up and refresh me in the hope and knowledge of his promises to make all things work for my growth and development. One I often go to is Isaiah 40:22 and Isaiah 26:3

    1. Thank you for your kind words. Sometimes it is hard to fully surrender to God, especially when the enemy tries to infiltrate our thoughts with doubt, whispering that God doesn’t hear us or care about our struggles. Have a blessed day!

  3. I’m amazed every time when I feel like I don’t know how to pray or understand my situation, that simply voicing all of that to God, eases the burden and then things begin to change.

    1. I am sometimes overwhelmed with amazement. God’s greatness is truly awe-inspiring. Sometimes my only prayer comes through tears because I cannot find the words, but He understands the desires and emotions hidden in my heart.

      1. There’s a communion beyond words that is the sweetest…we are fully known beyond any knowing of our own and loved in spite of ourselves.
