Author of the Pen.

Throughout my life, I have often wondered why God allowed events to unfold as they do. Many people share this question, and I am certainly not alone in my contemplation. Life presents numerous challenges, and in those moments of struggle, we often turn to prayer, seeking miracles or divine intervention.

However, when our prayers seem unaswered, or God’s response doesn’t a;ign with our expectations. we may question why God did what He did. These experiences can be profoundly dishearting, making us wonder about the greater purpose behind our hardship and the reasons for the apparent silence in our times of need.

I have to be honest; I have done that in the last couple of weeks. So many people believed and prayed for a young man who was about to conquer the world. Thousands prayed and reminded God of His promises. However, God chose to take this young man home.

As I write this, tears stream down my face. Though he was not related to me by blood, he was family in spirit through God. He had a profound love for life and people. He sang in our church choir and was a member of Royal Rangers and the youth group. Even now he continues to touch hearts.

As I try to ponder the profound effect he has left on so many hearts, I remind myself: who am I to question the author of the pen? God wrote our story before we were even born. He has a purpose and a plan for our lives that we do not know about.

Jeremiah 29:11: For I know the plan I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (ESV)

God’s ways are higher than my ways, so I have to believe there is a purpose for our broken hearts. The one thing I am certain of is that Joseph is walking the streets of gold and being held in the arms of our heavenly Father.

Isaiah 55:8-9: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (NIV)

If your still questioning, that’s perfectly okay; God understands that we are human. Just be careful not to let the enemy ruin your life and your relationship with God. Remember that He is still writing your story. If the enemy convinces you to believe a lie, he has won. We can not let him win, for he does not complete your story; God does.

Keep praying, have faith, and trust. My heart and thoughts are with everyone who is hurting I won’t say this journey is easy, but I understand the pain and believe in the one who paints the skies every day. Trust the author of the pen.

God bless.
