As parents, we often find ourselves wishing we could protect our children from every pain and disappointment they might encounter. We want to shield them from hardship and suffering. We hope their lives are free from the struggles we faced, aspiring for them to experience joy, success, and fulfillment in ways that perhaps we couldn’t.
Every day, we pray for their happiness, health, and safety, envisioning a future where they thrive. As a mother, I can sincerely say that this desire to provide them with a better life and to guard them from life’s challenges is a profound and unyielding passion in my heart.
Unfortunately, we cannot shield our children from every pain and heartache that they may encounter throughout their lives. The reality is that the world is filled with challenges, and Satan seeks to undermine their happiness and spiritual growth. Satan, who opposes all that is good, does not want to see our children thrive or wholeheartedly serve the Lord.
Instead, he will try to introduce chaos and discord into their lives, much like the turbulence we have experienced in our own journeys. It is essential for us, as parents, to prepare them for these inevitable struggles while instilling in them a strong sense of faith and resilience.
When our children face challenges or difficult times that weigh heavily on our hearts, it is crucial for us as parents to pray. The enemy fears a praying parent because our prayers may not shake the rafters, but they certainly shake the very foundations of both earth and heaven.
When we pray for our children, we are praying for their future and speaking life into their lives. We ask for a hedge og protection around them, one that the enemy cannot breach. Our prayers serve as a form of spiritual warfare; each prayer acts as a shield of protection.

You possess the authority to cancel any harmful plans the enemy may have for your children. This power comes from your unwavering faith and promises from God, which assure you that no weapon formed against your loved ones shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Stand firm in this truth, knowing that you are equipped to protect and guide them through any challenges they may face.
Remember, Luke 10:19 says, I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy… (NIV)
You have the authority to cancel the enemy’s plans against your family.
God sees your tears and collects each one in a bottle. Psalm 56:8 You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book (NLT).
When you pray, your table, car, or couch becomes Holy ground. Satan can never defeat a mother or father who understands their authority in Christ.
YOUR PRAYERS ARE A LEGACY FOR YOUR CHILDREN!
