Can we genuinely declare the strength of our faith when faced with life’s obstacles, or do we simply yield to the prevailing winds? Do we retreat and seek shelter when life’s storms assail us? How dire must our circumstances become before we reach out for assistance? We must not allow the currents of life to overwhelm us. Undoubtedly, we will encounter numerous storms throughout our lives. Nevertheless, our character is revealed by how we confront these storms when they arise.
Instead of succumbing to worry, let’s tap into the transformative power of prayer and faith. Let us anchor ourselves in the strength of God’s word, knowing that it has the power to dispel any fear or anxiety. Satan seeks to undermine our belief in the word of God and discourage us from living by faith. Instead, he aims to keep us imprisoned by fear and anxiety. It is essential to remind ourselves that our faith holds the power to overcome challenges in our lives, much like us trying to move a mountain in our power. This means that the more we give in to worry, the more daunting our obstacles may appear. But with faith, we are empowered to face these obstacles head-on.
Faith is the unwavering belief in the existence of the unseen and the intangible. It serves as our guiding light, especially during moments when our breath becomes shallow, and fear creeps into our hearts. As the darkness looms, causing our hearts to race and our breath to become uneven, we must slow down and draw a deep breath into our lungs, exhaling slowly. In these moments, we can calm our hearts and proclaim to the forces of doubt that we are not alone, for even in the midst of the storm, God has not forsaken us. His presence is our comfort, our reassurance, and our strength.
2 Corinthians 5:7 says, For we live by faith, not by sight. (NIV)
In the midst of life’s chaos and uncertainty, it is crucial to seek solace and strength in God’s promises. As we retreat to our prayer closets, shutting out distractions, we can express gratitude for God’s promises and seek clarity and guidance. In these moments of intimate communication with the divine, we find the comfort and empowerment to navigate life’s challenges. Prayer is our direct line to God, a connection that brings us closer to Him and to each other in our shared faith.
We must never forget that amidst the turbulent storms of our lives, God is our unwavering shelter. As we navigate life’s tempest, we must cling to our faith and trust in the Lord, for the storms will eventually dissolve before our eyes. With each tumultuous ordeal, we find ourselves growing stronger, steadfastly relying on the Lord to carry us through the relentless hailstorms. These trials are not intended to shelter us; instead they serve to fortify our resilience and deepen our faith.
Galatians 3:11 …” the righteous will live by faith.” (NIV)
Remember, we are not alone in our journey of faith. When the darkness threatens to overtake us, reach out to Jesus and ask His light to return and guide us. We need to seek spiritual guidance and support, for it is in the Lord that we find strength and solace. He is our strong tower and our protector.
